Adventures in Peanut Butter

Somehow peanut butter has gotten to be a giant mess with Maggie. It never used to be, but now I am considering a ban.

A snack of animal crackers and peanut butter to dip them in.
I was not paying attention until she was almost done and discovered this:
And, peanut butter and jam toast this morning. I don't know if you can tell in the picture, but there are equal copious amounts of peanut butter and jam on her face. She even had jam on her PJ bottoms. She even had it in her hair and on one of her eyelids.
as a side note, I made the toast "Spaid" style, which is both peanut butter AND jelly on the same piece of toast. I can attest that I had never had PB&J toast like this my entire life, until I married Tyler. In my house PB & J toast was where you got one piece with jam, and one with peanut butter. Which way do you do your toast? Please comment below, Tyler thinks I'm weird for NOT combining them on one piece of toast.

I had never had PB&J toast before. Lawson always had it just like that growing up. Grilled cheese was also only for breakfast for me. Who knew it could be lunch?

Didn't know the way I ate PB&J Toast was a "Spaid" thing and not the traditional way! So do you have to eat 2 pieces of toast to get both PB and J??? Mom's way with the sandwich was PB on both sides so the jelly doesn't seep through the bread! It's how I still do it today! I guess we all do things the way we grew up and we always think that's just how everyone does it too! Boy we sure learn differently when we get married don't we???

I'm right there with you. I grew up with the PB and the J on different sides, but my husband combines them. It still seems wrong to me.

Melissa, Maggie is such a big girl in these photos. Especially the one with the pink outfit. She looks different...more grown up. :(

I can't see a mom of more than one child taking the time to spread the condiments on different sides of the bread.

You'd have to be insane.
